There was a time when people were satisfies with a hoop and a stick. Demanding a game to run more than 720p30 is lunacy!

720p and 30 fps is fine on 8th gen if its pushing a presentation well beyond the capabilities of last gen. There is more to graphics than resolution and frame rate.

Anyhow, the only games doing 720p/30 fps on X1 are rare and poorly optimized.

 

In what way Halo 5 is pushing a presentation "well beyond" the capabilities of last gen? The graphics are nothing to brag about to be honest.

Halo 5 looks better than any 7th gen, maintains 60 fps, and its dynamic resolution genrally achieves much better than we expect from last gen.

Even the MCC goes well beyond last gen capabilities by achieving 1080p/60 fps with higher quality effects.

Why do I need to explain this? No common sense?
