There is a LOT of hatred and depression in this thread. I want to say a few things.

First, kudos to Kber81. He's shown himself to simply be a Sony fan, not a fanboy, as he can see facts and recognize their validity and/or relevance. Obviously I don't agree with everything he has to say, nor do I share his preferences, but facts are facts, and I respect his ability to face them.

Second, please recognize that the PS3's lack of popularity in Japan does not mean that you can't enjoy your PS3. It's looking EXTREMELY likely now that the PS3 will not dominate the Japanese market; and that's fine! Final Fantasy is still on the way, so is Metal Gear Solid, so is Gran Turismo, so are many other great looking games. Stop obssessing over something that has only minor significance to your gaming habits, and you'll be much happier.

Think of all the people who consider the Dreamcast their favorite system of all time, and that was Sega's death knell. The PS3 is doing considerably better than that. So please, don't equate "The PS3 doesn't dominate Japan" with "I cannot possibly have fun with my system."
