One is a big possibility, but if two Microsoft made a good move.

Let's see what happened to Nintendo:
Kamiya told Smash Bros Fans to F*** off.
Platinum announced in 2014 that they wanted to make Bayotte 3 with Nintendo, but not a word since.
Starfox is delayed and has lots of criticism.
Wonder 101 flopped.
Bayonetta 2 sales weren't exactly impressive.

There's a big difference between Platinum the develpment group, and Kamiya the development head.

Kamiya tells everyone to to F*** off to just about everything. He once said screw Microsoft right before Gamescom and called the Scalebound cover art generic garbage. His insults in particular shouldn't be taken seriously

Platinum already started on multiple projects prior to Bayo 2 and after. This includes Star Fox. In fact, they are making Star Fox in part because of the special stage in Bayo 2. Besides not every game announces a sequel within a year after the previous title.
