Wii U has nSMBU and 3D World, and DK: TF. The only issue was Metroid and F-Zero. I think for Metroid and F-Zero, lets add Starfox, Nintendo really need to think of something that would capture the audience and get better sales. I mean I doubt F-Zero and Metroid has the same impact as a new SMG game for example.
FE: Awakening did well on the 3Ds to capture new gamers and be hooked into that series, so for the franchise like Metroid, F-Zero and Starfox it should cater for older audiences and maybe add more of a darker side into it. These franchise should really come into the NX, but they should start planning the concepts and ideas as early as now.
For NX, there would still be a mario game and maybe DK in NX's mid life cycle, which they should prioritize IPs that was absent from the Wii U.
