Lets just leave it at Alot of people dont consider Mario 3DW to be a real 3D game.
Some here think it is, but just as many probably dont consider it to be one.

Mario 3D world, tries ALOT to be a modern version of the very old Super Mario World.

Its a new game, thats almost like a really old 2D mario game.
Whatever, to me the concept of Mario 64 was more fresh and new, than trying to make a 3D, 2D platformer.
It probably just boils down to me wishing Nintendo did a new mario 64.
2D mario platformer burn out, been to many of them lately.
Also I honestly dont feel like they have been up to pair, with older Mario games that where real 3D mario games.
