If this is what it takes to finally convince people that the 3DS is on the way out, so be it. The 3DS is hitting the end of its mandated life cycle. It's pretty predictable that, if nothing else, the handheld successor will be announced next year. It probably doesn't help that repeated efforts still haven't generated enough sales to pull the 3DS family out of last place in handheld sales by a decently large margin.
I may pick up A Link Between Worlds and Star Fox at the discounted prices, at least.
