Is Nintendo's jump into mobile their new fail safe in case of a poorly selling console?

They are going to make a fortune off smartphone games. Maybe some kids will also then buy dedicated Nintendo hardware, but that's more up in the air. I don't think kids buy consoles/handhelds for Angry Birds. 

This is going to be Nintendo's worst selling hardware generation in their history, so naturally big chances were going to occur.

With unified platform, handheld and console NX will be same revenue, not separate.

Also its not only about those revenues, people forgetting Amiibo, Nintendo will surely have more toys with their IPs, then we will have theme parks, movies with Nintendo IPs...Nintendo plan is pretty simple, being more like Disney not console gaming company only.
