you can't use this as a measure of each gaming divisions success
there's the massive factor of ps+
expectations each company have

No.. and yes there are.. :)

But I dont say any such thing either.. This is offcourse only "Nintendo VS Sony.. last 5 month of 2015 current gen" (VGCharz data) we will see.

There isn't really any good reason to isolate it to current generation only. If you do that, you're going to be missing significant parts of the picture.

This only look at current gen.. and yes only showing part of the hole picture.

Total hardware is the most interesting metric, as it's the only metric that's very clearly defined. Software could be measured in very many ways. Retail games sold, total amount of games sold, total amount of non-indie games sold, total revenue from games sold, etc.

Total hardware is most interesting.. But that does mot mean that we cant look at other parts ("current gen" could offcourse be one of thoose)

And yes.. VG is only "an estimate of retail games" and we can't take thoose number to calculate how much revenue they have each.

By hardware, Sony is going to sell the most, for the second year in a row

If you look at the numbers from the start of the year until the start of August (which is the most recent weekly chart), the numbers are as follows.

I know the numbers.. but again.. this do not look at Nintendo or Sony's year so fare.. This is a comparision only between nintendo and sony current gen last 5 month of 2015.
