Maybe they just felt that at over 1 Million, the japanese Market for MK8 is full and another bundle would thus have to take over. For the same reason, it might be too late now for a Splatoon bundle, as it's closing the gap to 1 Million at an almost frightening speed even without a bundle

I don't think a Splatoon bundle would be a waste at this time. Sure, the game has sold a lot, but it cleary has so much potential. It's completely shifted the baseline of Wii U's sales without a bundle at all. It's almost scary to think what it could do if it actually was bundled at a significant value (I'd say with MK8 or Smash, maybe leaning more towards Smash since it's sold less and I think the market for it is less saturated, a Wii remote and an eShop card) would actually benefit the system a lot.

I mean, Wii Party U was able to achieve this, and that game opened at a measly 37k.

In this scenario, it's less about selling software and more about selling hardware. They don't need help selling Splatoon, but they do need help selling the Wii U, and for this reason, any and all bundles are welcome.

Note:Without the sales from  the bundle, with the bundle was at 74k!:P :P?P:P:P:P:P:P
