Well, while I agree that FFV should get at least a limited physical release on principle, I can see why they didn't give FFV a physical release from a business perspective.  The franchise has never had very much success.  Not even in Japan really.  The franchise has never even cracked a quarter mil.  But as for FAST, it's not a Nintendo game.  It would be kinda irregular for a first party to reach out to an all-digital indie dev and offer to do a physical release.  It happens, but not often.

I can understand not mass-producing it, but even a limited release as a sign of respect for fans of the series would've been very appreciated. Even I, someone who has never played a Fatal Frame before, would've appreciated it.

And you're definitely right about FAST. I get why they didn't do that, even though I think they should. Especially since they won't crank out an F-Zero or anything like it themselves, but ah well.

Yeah, I think a limited edition or limited print would be good for FFV, just to have another noteworthy product on the shelves during the holidays.

As for F-Zero and FAST, I think a physical release would be wise, but they don't want to take the risk.  But with regards to F-Zero, I wonder if they will try again to have it at launch with the NX.  They tried for Wii U but it ultimately fell through and they didn't have time to move the project to someone else.  If F-Zero were a launch title, it would make a pretty darn good one imo.  In fact, I think it would see more success there than at any other stage of a given console's life. Flashy, visually striking, etc.  It has all the qualities of a launch-suited game with a high quality standard to boot.
