Aren't tablets a declining market?
Also you mentioned in one of your posts that everyone you know already has a tablet. It would be really stupid of Nintendo to try and break into a market that is not only declining but saturated already.
They acknowledged aready that they overestimated the tablet appeal of the wiiU to the casual market because the tablet market grew so rappidly that by the time the WiiU came out tablets were not a major draw anymore. They're not going to try to rectefy that by releasing an actual straight up tablet. The tablet craze went by too fast, and Nintendo was late to the Party. Now no one wants or needs a Nintendo tablet, imo.
Now we might see an NX handheld with a Tablet form factor, but it wil retain buttons and be exactly what they said it would be when they first announced they were working on it: A dedicated gaming system.
