While traditionally you would be right, however it could be in Nintendo's best interest to increase girls' interest in the Wii sooner so gaming becomes more popular among girls. Then later once Nintendo increases production to exceed demand gaming has already become more acceptable and popular for girls.
Although it might be a good idea, you are all probably correct that they will wait until sales decline before releasing new colors.
