I tried in the past to drum up discussion, but not many fans on the forum (least, not many that wanted to talk about it.) so sort of died.

I loved first three seasons, liked season four, and found season five...confusing. A side note I read these books years before the show came out so had very fixed views on how the world and story is. The show writers seem to ignore too often the complexities and have characters behave in foolish or bizarre fashion lately.

Every change they have made in the show has been to weaken the material in my view. At best it is benign, but some story lines and dialogue changes have been painful this past season.

As much as I moan about the writer's foolishness I love Westeros and studied its history for years so I obviously will follow it to its end. Now if George could finish Winds of Winter (I have read some passages from it) in next two years be nice.

Well if rumours and a publisher's statement are to believed Winds of Winter will release in 2016 hopefully.
