PS4 at end of this year will be around 30m, XboxOne probably around 18m so that means around 30m and around 18m only after two years on market, basically half of yours LT predictions.

Yeah.... I admit being too pessimistic about that. Let´s try again then....

PS4 - 75-80  million

XboxOne - 40-45 million

WiiU - 18-23 million

What makes me worry about the future of consoles is that overall consoles sales have been down every year since 2009 and casual gamers are gone forever from it. So I don´t expect any device to reach 100 million units sold. I expect lower sales next year and beyond, and similar numbers to the PS1-N64-SAT generation (about 140 million home consoles sold total).

Anyway, this is just a guess. Who knows what the future may have for videogames. Maybe VR will bring casuals back? Or an agressive price cut?

Wii is the first real casual consoles so maybe 90% of them are casuals gamers that never bough consoles before those casuals didn't bough Wii U this time. But Xbox and Playstation is different most of their owner are not casuals gamers, most core gamers never stop buying console

IF you add ps3 to xbox360 number it would be close to ps2 and xb total 171m vs 182m it should be the same with XB1 and Ps4,this gen will have similar numbers to  the 6th gen

PS4 - over 100 millions let's say 120m
Xbox One - 70m
Wii U - 25m

Vita - 15m if it will not get Final Fantasy Kingdoms Heart and Monster Hunter 20m otherwise
3DS - 80m
