I like the feeling of playing levels, finding hidden items, beating bosses, and "finishing" a game. And you can't quite capture that in Super Mario Maker. In that way, a game like New Super Mario Bros. U is, I think, superior to Super Mario Maker. That said, I'm very glad to own Super Mario Maker, and I recommend it to anyone who owns a Wii U. |
That is actually pretty good point. Am not playing it as much as i thought i would. Not really sure if i can criticize others for their levels since i am not really good at making them either. I guess in general i can say that the levels are either automated, really easy ones or just downright demonic in their difficulty. There is just not that sweet spot you find in the the developer made levels.
Still am glad to own it as fan of 2D Mario games and there are some gems to be found in community levels. Still early days and maybe i'll make a decent level and have heart to publish it.
