You can create checkpoints that you can enter with items or shells, but can't leave as small Mario.

That's just bad level design, and I can do the same thing with the current game.  Is that trolling?  At the end of the day you want people to think you have created a well designed level, right?  Worst case scenario you just leave the level and stop playing it.  Or leave a bad comment.

On the other hand I was playing this really cool Animal Crossing Horror RPG level last night and after I died almost at the end (I think) I couldn't get up the desire to go back into the level.  I saved it for later, but it would have been nice to have been rewarded for all my hard work.
