Sony said (IIRC) that with the sale of a game with a PS4 (i.e. not bundled) they made a slight profit at the start of the generation. So PS4 by itself sold at a small loss. I think there was also information going around early in the generation that Xb one without Kinect had slightly lower production cost than PS4.

2-years in, and with an internal hardware refresh, it seems highly unlikely that PS4 is only being sold at a small unit profit or break even. But I wonder if that production and distribution cost has dropped below $350 yet. It probably has, but who knows other than Sony?

Yeah, at launch according to Isuppli, PS4 was $381 to build, so it's had to have come down a good chunk since.
