Lmao MS would have no choice but to bend over and take it. But why don't you think a $300 entry point wouldn't be worth it for Sony after being on the market for 2&1/2 years? It sets up 2016 perfectly with all the games that can move hardware (UC, SFV, FF, possibly GT7, maybe PSVR).

The thing is, MS is a massive company and Xbox is but a tiny part of it. If Sony goes overboard here, they could strike somwhere else. What if they actually do get AMD? They could pay Sony back for this abuse with different kind of abuse ;)

I think it may not be worth it, cause if you sell millions of consoles for $350, you get millions of $50 on your account and Sony is a company that can use every single $ it can get. The war has already been over a long time ago, so now they have to analyze the market very closely and milk it in the best way possible.

This sais, I'd love a $300 PS4 ;)

Not really, I mean, you have to remember, Sony and AMD have pre-existing contracts for parts.  That's not something they can just void during a merger/buyout, without absurdly costly rammifications.  Plus, iirc, Sony actually was involved in the tweaking of the AMD chips.  Not sure how that complicates issues, but I'd imagine it would add to the legal rammifications if Microsoft bought out AMD and then decided to do something shady.
