Between budget and time allocated for gaming, I don't know how some of you guys do it.

For me, the SNES and N64 era were when I was a kid.  Between birthdays, Christmas, and some of my money, 3 to 5 games a year was not that big a deal.  And I was a kid, so time was not an issue.

I was in high school for the GameCube era.  That one was more like 7 to 8 games a year.  I have three younger siblings, so they were gaming during that time as well.  More birthday presents, more Christams presents, and it was easier to earn and spend my own money at that point.  Plus I was still in school, so I still had a lot of time on my hands.

I was in college for the start of the Wii era.  I still had plenty of time on my hands, and with the scholarships I had money wasn't an issue either.  Toward the end of the Wii era, I was working a real job.  I have no time to game now, but plenty of money.  Plus I bought a lot of those games when deals were going on.  The only games I bought for full price were probably the Nintendo games.
