Aside from the side quest and the cliche story moments (how the freaking hell were they going to "forgive" Egil after all he did!?!?!) it's a really good game.
I used to think it was a masterpiece as well, but after playing it again, I don't consider it a masterpiece anymore, it's just a very good game.
