Yes it would've been able to compete better with the PS4 ...
Despite the issues with Nintendo's brand image, consumers wouldn't preclude another option that wasn't deficient of software since it would've been a viable alternative to those systems ...
In many cases where the PS2 was at a disadvantage compared to Xbox when it came to multiplats that didn't stop the games from succeeding on the former so I'm not convinced that technically inferior versions of multiplats would've massively swayed purchasing decisions ...
All this "what if" exercise is useless since that boat has long sailed ...
