I will do this one more time:

Castlevania has always had a low budget. This is because the series post SOTN hasn't been the biggest seller for KONAMI and the series doesn't need a huge budget, which is achieved by reusing old sprites over and over again while adding a few new animations each time. Theres a running gag in the Castlevania fanbase in regards to how many more installments it will take IGA  to finally redraw the sprites for bat enemies that have been in use since SC4 or RoB, both released on SNES.

AAA game development is a game of Russian roulette that many but big publishers cannot sustained. Many doors have closed and tons of money lost. Far from a proven model. That model is the reason Japanese developers looked to mobile in the first place... *Gasp*

KONAMI spent tons of money on SH last gen. Cout how may SH titles released last gen. Hills was cancelled because Kojima and team were disbanded.

KONAMI games, outside of MGS and PES, never AAA budgets so why be worried? Suikoden 1-5 were technically leagues below  the bar set by other JRPGs, especially 1 and 2, but fanbase still loves it regardless. Why does it need AAA?

"Always" is the wrong word to use in this case as it mostly only applied to 5th and 6th gen ...

It doesn't have to be a game of russian roulette. Take a look at Activision with their COD series ...

Yet they still cancelled a potential new installment. "Aggressive" isn't the word you should be using, they just "gave up" ...

Your right, they don't need AAA so why don't they put them on mobile where they can be happy ?

Or just continue to give them B/C class budgets like the've always had.

Your Silent Hill drivel is tiring. KONAMI spent the entirety of last generation trying to turn SH into a heavy, but it was clicking with anybody <---- You are ignoring this part just so you whine about hills. Cancelling Hills does not void previous efforts.

Finally using Activision and Cod as some kind of support for the Russian roulette model is lazy and half hearted
