No, here's why:
(1) compelling system selling software - tie, no console is having must have software coming up. While there may be a case for Nintendo's upcoming games to sell well, that does not detract from the fact that they cater to the Nintendo fanbase which already bought the wii u.
(2) successor - vita. Nintendo wants to move on. It's as plain as day to see, and with the new president also expressing his reluctance with the wii u, it seems all the more likely that Nintendo will rush out their next home console killing the wii u earlier. Sony on the other hand is showing no signs of a vita successor and may actually be reluctant to do so when weighing the risk of going against mobile phones/tablets.
(3) power (reletaive towards domain)- vita. The ps4 and xbone started off with great starts, but only recently are they becoming more commonplace with upcoming games showcasing power that is exclusive to next gen. Since the wii u does not have that kind of power, it will often be eliminated as a consideration for next gen. The vita, on the other hand, has plenty of room to grow compared to the 3ds.
(4) marketing - wii u. Power is not everything. Marketing is a huge. When it comes to selling consoles, a huge factor is what people think of when they hear "vita" or "wii u". In this case, people consider both as irrelevant. However, when it comes to ads and marketting, the wii u has the vita beat. I have yet to see a vita commercial, but I'd be lying if I said I didn't just see an enticing wii u comercial (super mario maker)
(5) Price - tie. While the wii u is the cheapest option for home consoles, it is not too much cheaper than the xbone to actually set itself apart in a good fashion. AKA people are often left with the choice of pay $300 for a console most similar to last gen and low support, or pay $350 for a console with superior specs and fantastic 3rd party support. Likewise, while the vita does offer more power than the 3ds, it does still have a price tag that is way above people's comfort zone.
(5) regions - vita. While the wii u has the advantage in the US, vita has the advantage in Europe, where sony is king, and Japan, where handhelds are king.
In the end, the vita may have issues, but the wii u has just as much, if not more, leaving the vita in a position where it can comfortably maintain its lead
