Final Fantasy VII, because duh and IX was lame (not discussing it, replies to/against this comment will simply be ignored)
Second choice was tough. Both Breath of Fire III and IV were fantastic (especially III). Legend of Dragoon is an obvious choice, too, and is a classic regardless of what the poll says. MGS, Brave Fencer, F***ING SOUL REAVER... All wonderful games.
But I had to pick the only PS1 title that I continously pick up and play start to finish every time: Legend of Legaia. If you haven't played it, then you really don't have a right to vote for best PlayStation title.
