Demarco Murray negative 9 yards on the game so far.

Sounds like Schadenfreude.

Only superficially. I REALLY like Demarco as a person. He's classy, and I hope he has a healthy and successful career.

At the same time I got so tired of hearing how the Cowboys screwed up by not signing the guy who carried the ball 4 million times with the most yards before contact in the league.

4M/year all the way to 6M/year for a RB of his abilities would have been fair. But 8+ was not possible and still be able to have the money to take care of some of Dallas's larger problems on the defense. Add the gamble on the sharp downturn in productivity that MOST RBs have after a year with that many touches, and it was just a smart move AND a shame to see him head out the door.

Dallas ran well last night actually. If the offense hadn't given away several ridiculous turnovers, Dallas wouldn't have had to air it out most of the last portion of the game. I think it was 45 passes to 23 rushes in the end. If that had been more like 37-29ish, it would have easily been a 100+ yard rushing game for Dallas.

It's too early to make any firm conclusions on the move in terms of season impact, but I have always maintained even when Murray was here that he was somewhat overrated.

He is not very fast. 7/10 on speed.

He can't make people miss very often or take it to another level with jukes/spins. 5/10 on evasiveness/play extension by athletic ability. His idea of finishing the play is to try to bang directly into someone for an extra 0 to 2 yards depending on how they're set.

He has good vision for the first hole. 8.5/10 on eyes/decision making.

He has moderate strength, he's like the baby Marshawn Lynch in hitting the hole style. 7.5/10 on strength.

He has great team chemistry and positivity. 9.5/10 as a 'team player' and locker room person.
