It is, alas, a very common genetic defect, but I for one am hopeful that Eli will someday overcome it enough to at least count to three. In the meantime, his coach is happy to disown Eli's actions, and to tell the whole world that he not only wanted to go up ten, but that it's Eli who was "confused" by the number of timeouts had left. No idea what effect getting pushed under a bus has on neurological conditions, but I suspect it's less than wholly positive. |
