ith Wii Fit’s launch date fast approaching, the Nintendo crew is pushing promotional activities into overdrive. Today Nintendo announced a new event scheduled to take place in New York’s Central Park come launch day, where pedestrians can view demonstrations and try out the new fitness conscious video game. The event doubles as a celebration of National Physical Fitness and Sports Month, which encourage individuals of all ages to be active throughout the month of May.

Nintendo is also using the event as an opportunity to do a greater good. For every attendee who participates in a Wii Fit Demo, Nintendo will donate $5 to the American Heart Association ( up to $25,000 total). If you are interested in attending and live in or near New York City, event information is below.

Talk about advertising................  Nintendo is starting to look like a saint to the over weight and obese, I mean now the American Heart Association is backing the Wii Fit.
