I predicted in the 10 mil thread that the numbers might have to be adjusted down... I was a little concerned about there not being any slack on that 10mil estimate...
Numbers are rechecked with monthly and I assume yearly data which is more accurate. They are great for trends, but the last few weeks might not be perfect. I trust these numbers better than http://www.nexgenwars.com/ which appear to have their estimates readjusted far less often.
The adjustment may be 40% for a month, but it is only 1% given the base. I think the wii numbers are seriously low for the last week, but I know they will get updated up in about 6 weeks if I am correct...
