I remember that time when this was a given, right now I don't see it. WiiU can get close but I will say nope

Indeed, the initial predictions were that it would stomp ahead of the Vita in the first 6 months of release.

Now all the big guns have been and gone and the Wii U has failed to gain a meaningful traction to be able to pull ahead.

This holiday will be very interesting. Will the Wii U see it's usual holiday surge?

Someone said looks like Sony have quietly discontinued Vita due to bundles. Those bundles are available without a system too. It's like £29.99 for an 8gb memory card with 4-5 decent higher end Vita games and some lower budget stuff. The hardware itself has been very resilient price-wise stubbornly staying around the £150 mark. There is a good scope for a drop to sub £100 and a bit of a push in 2016 if they were really clearing out inventory.

I think they're just keeping it chugging along. They're shifting consoles without taking a loss and the games are a slow but sure money spinner (they're just getting royalties of 3rd party sales for the most part at this stage) this latter part is something the Wii U is enjoying nowhere near as much.

SCEE Spain have also confirmed they have some other titles in development that have not yet been confirmed and are surprised at the success of the system there.
