yeah the recent posts about the un-originality of the 360 are annoying for those of us that have a 360.

What about achievments? this for many people is enough to sway them into buying the 360 version of a multi plat game. It's like a little meta-game and highlty addictive.

now sony is copying achievments with trophies!

I don't care, all the consoles are innovations of the previous versions, that's why there all so good.

achievements aren't original at all. They are just glorified unlockables. All they are is external unlocks versus internal. People are just stupid and blinded by achievements versus playing the game to have fun.

I'm not stupid nor blinded...

I think achievments are one of the biggest console gaming innovations this gen. Go ask owners of ps3 and 360's which version they would rather play. Most of the time it is the 360 version for achievments as they add more fun to games and allow gamers to do stuff in a game they normally wouldn't do.

ITs not becasue of the achievements, it's because the PS3 has garbage ports.

In the run up to gtaiv, alot of people were saying how superior the ps3 version was over the 360. Still alot of people still said they would rather earn achievments while playing the game.

I still think achievments are the main innovation this gen, if they weren't then why is Sony implementing trophies?

to get the people who apparently can't enjoy a game for what its worth and has to be rewarded to play the game to buy a PS3. The PS3 has sold over 2/3 of the 360 overall sales without trophies. I'm going to say the PS3 really doesn't need them as the only reason people by the console.
