Sorry i got that from here http://www.forbes.com/sites/jasonevangelho/2014/04/28/as-global-pc-game-revenue-surpasses-consoles-how-long-should-console-makers-keep-fighting/ . Where it says "The Last Of Us, a high-profile 15-month old PlayStation 3 exclusive, recently surpassed 6 million copies sold"

Anyway Forbes must of got mixed up someway with that data as The Last of Us released on PS3 on the 14th of June 2013. that Forbes Article was psted on the 28th of april 2014 so thats still less then 12 months of sales.

But lets take something into account going by this http://ie.ign.com/articles/2014/03/14/the-last-of-us-passes-6-million-sales

It still took The Last of US like 9 months to do what Diablo 3 did on PC in its first week.

"

And Diablo 3 is (according to this) the best selling PC game of all time. And that's what you're using for comparison? Okee dokee.

So only console gamers get to pick and choose what games to compare? should it matter that diablo went on to becoming the best selling PC game of all time?.

Make more apt comparisons. Is that really too much to ask for? In that case, every PC game is a flop compared to GTA V on consoles. GTA V has sold 54 million copies total, 3 million of those are from Steam, and let's be generous and say another 1 million from other ventures. That leaves 50 million that has been sold on console.

And don't even get me started on how the average selling price of a PC title is way lower than that of a console title. Even asuming that the average selling price of TLOU was as low as 40$ over the course of it's first 12 months (which is ridiculously low, considering it sold 3.4 million in 3 weeks, all of those 3.4 million would have been at 60$), it still generated more revenue than Counter Strike: Global Offensive has in the three years since launch, even when presuming an average selling price of launch price all the time (15$).

40*7=280 million from TLOU (using low estimates)

15*16=250 million from CS GO. (using high estimates)

And that's comparing TLOU's 12 first months to CS GO's lifetime so far (three years).

And Counter Strike is one of the biggest PC franchises there are, only behind a few, like Diablo, Dota and LoL.
