The GC wasn't first last gen but it still got its port of the following :

- Need for Speed

- Lord of the rings ( Two towers and Return of the King)

- Prince of Persia ( all 3 titles)

- The previous titles in the Call of Duty serie

- The previous titles in the Burnout serie

- The James bond games.

- The Tom Clancy Splinter Cell serie.

...

This gen so far the only big cross platforms titles that were ported to the Wii are :

- GH3, Rock Band and Madden....

2 developers that supported the GC with every of their big titles last gen haven't done so this gen ( Activision and Ubisoft)....

NFS: Carbon and Pro Street are on the Wii.

There hasn't been a new Lord of the Rings multiplatform game this gen.

The Wii got a port of PoP: Two Thrones, but it won't get the new PoP.

CoD 3 and 5 are on the Wii.

Only the first two Burnout games were on the GC, so this isn't solely a Wii problem.

No new James Bond games this gen.

SC: Double Agent is on the Wii.

...

Overall, pretty bad examples. It also leaves out the fact that many multiplatform games on the GC were done by third or fourth string teams of EA, Ubisoft etc.

The Splinter Cell series, FIFA and others were clearly inferior to their PS2 and Xbox counterparts. The Wii inherited the 3rd party confidence of the Gamecube, which was next to nothing. The GC's 3rd party support suffered more and more as time passed on, with games either being done by bad development teams or games not being made at all.

The big difference between the Wii and GC is that the Wii's 3rd party situation is consistently improving and not consistently getting worse like the GC's. The Wii is receiving ports of games which were never planned to be going to the system, for example Rock Band. Besides that, the Wii is getting its fair share of 3rd party exclusives (Tales of Symphonia 2, Fragile, Fatal Frame 4, Monster Hunter 3 etc.).

I listed the top selling multiplatform games of last gen, that's how I came up with that list.

PoP is a last gen game so getting a port from it doesn't really mean much for this gen multiplatform support.

My point was take the top selling multiplatforms games from last gen and see how many Nintendo console owners could play.

Now take the top selling multiplatforms games this gen and see how many they can play, percentage wise it's lower and it doesn't look like it's improving a lot. The Wii is going to get a lot more exclusive, especially thanks to how well it is doing in Japan but it's actually getting less multiplatform support, mainly because of the way it is architectured...

Nintendo console owners this gen can still play GH3, Rock Band, Madden, PES. But they got screwed on CoD4, AC ( 2 biggest multiplatformes games this gen)...

PS3-Xbox360 gap : 1.5 millions and going up in PS3 favor !

PS3-Wii gap : 20 millions and going down !
