I love lots of metal bands like old Metallica to Machinehead etc... but I can't get into Iron Maiden because of the singers voice. He sounds like a female opera singer. Like, literally... a female opera singer. Every time I hear it, I just giggle because it sounds so effeminate. Metal music is probably the most manly, testosterone driven music in existence and to have such a feminine voice on top of it sounds.... weird.
On a side note, I feel the same way about Rush. Great band, totally respect them... the music is great... but his voice... it just... unbearable. Sounds like one of the dwarfs from The Wizard of Oz. haha
