I don't think people quite understand wat Iwata meant when he said "Wii U architecture". In this context, he's talking about development tools, assets, engines, not CPU/GPU architectures. They want to absorb what they've done with their development tools and such so that they don't have to start from scratch with that anymore, and that won't require the same CPU/GPU.
