Actually, spurge has a point. It being the largest mountain of North America means that people around the world know of it. That's the kind of superficial stuff that comes up even in basic geography classes: Largest mountains, longest rivers etc. Mount McKinley is like Mont Blanc and Mount Everest.

Admittedly, you have a point too. The United States of America are a country where 20% of the population's answer to the question to name a country that starts with the letter U would be Yugoslavia.


Presuming even 20% of the American population has ever heard of Yugoslavia. Assuming stuff like that, now that is a slippery slope...
