I see people recommending EO Untold. While it certainly is easier than EO IV, and the original EO does feel rather clunky, I won't recommend it. It forms bad habits.
Try EO IV first before getting EO Untold OR EO II Untold. EO2U is a better remake of a better title.
Similarly, I wont recommend FE Awakening OR Shadow Dragon because they both form bad habits. Wait for Fates or import the JP-only FE3 remake.
I recommend DS2 Record Breaker if you really want a sound SRPG, though DS2 is weaker than DS1, in my opinion.
Get SMT IV, just be prepared for an L-shaped difficulty curve. You'll know what I mean once you get past Naraku.
Get A-Train if you want to sink time into a city-builder. You probably don't, but I want more of them...
If you want to, you can try out STEAM, too. I hear the multiplayer is fantastic for the strategy game.

-a possible Etrian Odyssey V
