Nintendo has burnt bridges with the way it handled 3rd parties and it doesn't help that nintendo home consoles generally sell bad compared to the competition. Of course, the wii was the exception but I doubt that NX (if a home console) could replicate that kind of success. EA doesn't really lose anything by ignoring nintendo. Nintendo's next home console has to prove itself a worthwhile platform to put games on for any 3rd party publisher.
