Wii had 15M more consumers to sell games to.

Take it anyway you want, though.

Yes 15M more "casuals" remember? Or since thats not very convenient to the discussion here, that doesn't matter? Casual gamers bought just as much as hardcore gamers, thats sad on so many levels.

...you realize third parties and Nintendo alike heavily catered to the casual crowd during the Wii generation, right? You couldn't find one Wii game display that wasn't 90% casual games and 10% anything else after awhile. Casual gamers had no shortage of games to buy. In fact, they were absolutely flooded. Then with the PS3, you have the unfortunate circumstance that it got the inferior version of many multiplats due to it being the one games got ported to because of its unique parts. Thus, the 360, along with having a more competent system of online even if it was subscription based, got a lot of people looking for the best quality versions of multiplat games, as well as the online dedicated population.

The PS3 had a lot of disadvantages throughout most of last gen, from its launch up until a couple of years before this generation launched. Even then, it hadn't lost those disadvantages. Rather, it had learned how to work with and around them.

What exactly did the casuals get that wasn't present for any other plat in history? The Wii won with little 3rd party support and half of Ninty's support. That is so sad for the PS3 its not even funny.
