The OP already starts wrong with the stupid thinking that, if a wii u sucessor releases in 2016, sony and MS would be retarded enough to release a ps5/xbox whatever late 2019.

actualy, as things are now, even if nintendo did nothing the chances are that MS won't wait untill 2019 to release a new console, since the x1 isn't very sucessfull. sony won't wan't to release later and neither ps4 nor x1 are very powerfull for their time in terms of hardware. that makes late 2018 a more likely release date for ps5/xboxwhatever.

then we have to consider the impact of wii u's sucessor. if it comes late 2016 and starts making whoever doesn't own a 8th gen system skip the gen and go for the 9th gen wii u successor, thus severely reducing ps4/x1 late 2016, 2017 and beyond estimated sales, the chances are even higher that sony and MS will release new consoles in 2018. maybe even in the first half of 2018 or, if MS repeats what it did with the first xbox, late 2017 for MS.
