Nintendo: Not a lot of exclusive indie games on Wii U because “we don’t throw around cash”

Pretty sure Sony doesnt throw cash at indie developers.

Pretty sure they have the right people, the right program that helps with the development/technical aspects/marketing of indie games.

Would No Man's Sky's have gotten this amount of attention without Sony? Nope.
