Did they ONLY take video game related stuff (I count the Blue-Ray and PSP movies among that, since they obviously were stolen to view on the VG systems). Because if so it was surely a friend or acquaintance. If a guy came to your house to rob it generally, he would have also taken the TV, stereo, etc. as well.

That sucks so much. I agree that insurance is certainly your only option. Sony and a retailer would probably show sympathy but say it's not their business. Maybe you could get a gamestop or bestbuy to track a trade-in, but that's only a may be, and that's the most you could expect of them.
