I don't think so, mainly because the Wii U will have a successor whereas DC did not. Sure, people might remember Splatoon or MarioKart 8 on Wii U in 5 years time, but by then we'll be eagerly awaiting the release of Splatoon 3 and Mario Kart 9/10 for NX. Whereas DC games are far more memorable because they were the last across many different IP's, they were the swansong of Sega before the fall.
DC also had a feeling of untapped potential, it wasn't pulled from the market because it wasn't successful, but because Sega had run out of resources to support it. If Sega hadn't been hurting so badly as a company they could have ridden the PS2 onslaught out and got the DC to a sustainable position. Given the close relationship at the time between Sega and MS, it may well have been that MS wouldn't have released the XB if the DC had remained in the game, and instead thrown their support behind the DC, it certainly would have been cheaper for MS. The Wii U though doesn't have that, it'll have a normal console lifespan, supported by Nintendo in the usual way. Therefore its success or lack of doesn't feel as tragic, and therefore it'll be remembered less nostalgically than the DC in my opinion.
