Slated to be announced on Sept. 9th alongside the new iPhone 6S is a new AppleTV that will be a huge upgrade to device as Apple takes aim at making inroads on the TV/living room market.

The new Apple TV will supposedly be powered by a dual core Apple A8 processor, with graphics comparable to the PS3/360 and will retail for $150-$199 with a Apple remote that has motion controls, a touch sensor, and buttons built into it though this is not confirmed (we'll find out on Sept. 9th).

I don't see it being a direct competitor to the PS4/XB1 per se, but still Apple moving more strongly in this direction could be a shot across the bow for sure.

If it's $150 I'll probably get one. I'm moving back to iPhone after a few years with Samsung Galaxy phones.
