I had 1 third party N64 controller fail me.
That is all.
(considering it was only £5 I didn't really expect much)
In terms of wear an tear, my other 3rd party N64 controller needs a lot of pressure to get C> to work. And my original official N64 controller has a loose control stick, but it still works ok.
All other controllers have been fine, but then they have all been official Nintendo or official Sega (though the Sega MD didn't get as much time spent on it as my later consoles)
