I wouldn't say nobody cares. All of this infomation just came out in the past 12 hours. So far the response (from what I've seen) has been heavily negative, but mostly centered around the co-op being exclusive to the Wii U version and arbitrarily amiibo-locked. So we'll see if the balance of complaints shifts in the immediate future, but I think the voices of players on all platforms (those upset with amiibo-locked Nintendo-exclusive content) will naturally drown out the voices of players of Nintendo versions only (those upset with the lack of free Nintendo-exclusive content).
Again, as someone who already finished the existing content and felt more than satisfied with my purchase, I don't feel I have any reason to be bothered. The amiibo looks nice, I doubt I'll buy it but if I do it won't be for the co-op mode anyway.
My advice, wait for it to go on sale and buy it for $10. The feeling of getting the game at a discounted price will counter the feeling of getting a very slightly "lesser" version of the game. Provided you enjoy the game itself, you will certainly feel you got your money's worth. The additions of big free expansions like Plague of Shadows (which will probably already be available by the time you pick it up if you do wait for a sale) and the other two boss knight campaigns will dwarf the single boss fight you're missing out on. This game is going to be massive when all is said and done, $10 is a bargain no matter which version you have.
