I cannot comment on Age of Ultron as I have not seen it yet. However, when I saw the Avengers I was incredibly disappointed. I enjoyed Iron Man, I thought it was fun and it still maintained suspense.
The Avengers on the other hand was a complete joke, literally. All the one liners felt forced, as they were implemented constantly. They even made Loki a big joke, and because of this he felt inferior. When the alien invasion took place this could have been when they added suspense, yet they still managed to make it feel way too comedic. It completely removed me from the movie.

Daredevil on the other hand is amazing, however, I understand that not all Marvel properties should be this gritty. Perhaps they need to balance their movies to add a bit more tension. It does not even have to be dark or gritty, just do not make your villains a complete joke, especially when they pulled off the villain well previously. An example of this would be: Loki was a good villain in Thor - in the Avengers they just made him so... pathetic.

Oh and do not even get me started on the Hulk "I am always angry". That was such a cheap shot. Also if Bruce Banner was always angry, he would always be the Hulk. Did the showrunners have no idea about the Hulk whatsoever?
