Will Sony taking a loss for 2015 be worth it in 2016?

Sony is well ahead on exclusives that's released already and scheduled to release this year so far. Where's the loss for sony? I'm sure sony will do a temporary price cut for the holidays and that will destroy the xbox one's sales.
