No. Still the same rule. Group chat is something can be done on Xbox, Playstation, and PC. It's a universal, standard feature in gaming. Again, making a patent for the unique way you do something that everyone else already does isn't copying. It assimilating. If Microsoft released a XBO controller 2.0, and it had a giant touch screen on it, and it was bundled with every new XBO from that point on, and every game on the XBO from then on had a map and inventory on the bottom screen, that's copying.
