So much undeserved negativity. The movie is looking great. Rey will probably also be a Jedi. Two out of three of the main characters can be Force-sensitive, you know... such as in the Original Trilogy where Luke & Leia were Force-sensitive while Han was not... or in the Prequel Trilogy where Anakin and Obi-Wan were Force-sensitive while Padme was not...

The expanded universe is starting to sound better already. -.-

The Expanded Universe was at least 60% garbage. I'm guessing you didn't get around to reading Troy Denning's Bug Orgy, and although it may sound like a cute nickname, it's not. That is an actual thing that literally happened in the EU.

I don't see how that sounds more appealing compared to casting a black guy as a Jedi.

After the last trilogy that would be an improvement by miles.

Funny thing is that the original films basically defined the modern "summer action movie," and while they feel more slow-paced and cerebral than recent action blockbusters, the driving mentality behind their direction was "faster and more intense." The Prequels actually felt a lot like typical vapid summer action movies, they felt more modern rather than sticking with the 'traditional' feeling of the originals. From what we've seen so far, Episode VII looks more old-fashioned. I'm pretty stoked for it.
