If anyone doubts that they could develop for PS3 you can keep on lying to yourself, the issue is purely financial as it always is for every developer since the beginning of time. Limited money, limited time, and limited staff, etc.. is the problem not "teh powah of teh c3ll".

Valve is a great company and they take care of their customers but they do it because it is part of their business model not just because Gabe is a jovial guy (although thats probably why they chose this strategy to begin with). As soon as taking care of customers stops being a good strategy for business they will have to change their strategy, and I hope that day never comes.

I don't know if Valve not making the port is necessarily that bad -- as long as they don't let EA do it again or something.  I'm sure there are plenty of people perfectly capable of porting games just as well as Valve.
